There are five business areas at the site in Wesseling, which safely produce a wide range of products across 14 plants. The service department provides the required services. Around 1,300 employees work at one of Evonik's largest sites and benefit from the central location and excellent transport connections. The majority of employees work in shifts, since plants operate around the clock. Plant safety, fire brigades and environmental protection are also available day and night. The site in Wesseling also comprises the plant in Bonn-Beuel and a production plant in Leverkusen.
