Short description

The Department of Chemistry is one of eight departments of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the University of Bonn. It consists of three institutes (Institute for Inorganic Chemistry, Kekulé Institute for Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, Institute for Physical and Theoretical Chemistry) with a total of 19 professorships.

The Department of Chemistry currently teaches around 500 students studying chemistry as their main subject (B. Sc and M. Sc.) and about 750 students a year with chemistry as a minor subject.
